Around the Bärwirt
Würzburg & surrounding area
The old university town of Würzburg is within sight of Randersacker and is easily accessible along the River Main. Würzburg is just as attractive as a shopping city as it is as the centre of many cultural events. The famous Hofgarten, the Juliusspital founded in 1576 and the Marienberg fortress: always worth a visit.
You will encounter Walther von der Vogelweide, Tilman Riemenschneider and Balthasar Neumann on your tour, and the Residenz is considered one of the most important palaces in Europe.
Just a few kilometres away, you will discover the Hofgarten in Veitshöchheim, a true gem of Franconian rococo, and the Spessart with its natural beauty is barely half an hour west of the city. So there is a lot to discover here in Franconia.
Beautiful Randersacker
Built in stone and wine. Randersacker has always been a household name for wine connoisseurs and certainly deserves the title "premium wine village". A 1200-year-old wine-growing tradition has left its mark all over the town. You will notice it when you walk through the narrow streets with their centuries-old cobblestones or marvel at the magnificent half-timbered houses with their historic courtyards.
Randersacker is an ideal starting point for culture and sports enthusiasts, located directly on the Main, with many cycling and hiking trails starting right on our doorstep. Würzburg with its numerous sights is only a few minutes away, and the motorways provide quick access to all directions.
Cycling & hiking
Cycling and hiking trails almost in abundance: Randersacker and its marvellous surroundings along the Main are also known for this. Downstream, you can reach the Main-Franconian metropolis of Würzburg via well-developed paths, while upstream you will come across many small picturesque villages that invite you to take a break.
